Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is an American gymnast, who was the captain and member of 2012's Fierce Five team as well as 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. In 2012 her year, she received gold for team events and also the floor exercise. On the balance beam Raisman got a bronze. She was one of the few American to have won the most medals at an Olympics. As of 2016, she along with the teammate Gabby Doug were the only Americans to win back-to-back team golds. In addition, she was awarded silver medals for the individual all-around as well as the floor exercise. In the three years between the two Olympics, she was off. The gold medal she won for the American team also took home twice at World Championships. Her favorite event is the floor exercise. Her first experience with gymnastics began at the age of two years old. Aly is a member of her local Uniting Against Lung Cancer group in memory of her grandma. She plans to pursue a career in fashion and hopes to broaden her famous line of leotards and socks in future. She is writing a book named Fierce and will release later this year.
